Abstract

Human capital has begun to take place in the growth models after the Second World War with the change of traditional capital. Human capital expressing knowledge, skills and experience of individuals is closely related to both development and growth of countries. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of human capital on economic growth. In this study, panel data analysis was performed by using data from the Middle East countries between 1993 and 2015. As a result of the analysis, the effect of total labor and capital formation on per capita income was negative, and the effect of education and health indicators included in the analysis as a human capital indicator was positive.
